YOUR PRIVACY MATTERS
Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 3, 2026
This policy describes PhotoColors, including local image import, pixel color picking, palette extraction and editing, color-code copying and palette exports.
Images and personal content
Files you choose or drop, and images you paste, are decoded and processed locally in your browser. Clipboard image data is read only when you paste into the page. Copy buttons write the selected color code or palette code to your clipboard. Palette analysis runs locally; exported files are generated in your browser and downloads start only when you choose Download. Image bytes, filenames, clipboard contents and specific color values are excluded from analytics and are not sent to our servers. Working images and palettes are not saved in browser storage. Replacing an image or closing the page releases the previous working image.
Cookies, storage, and analytics
Optional analytics load only after you choose Allow analytics. Google Analytics counts page visits and actions such as image import, color copying and palette export. Events contain only fixed categories, such as input method or export format. Browser privacy signals disable optional analytics.
When analytics are configured, your Allow or Reject choice is saved locally for up to 180 days. You can change it using Analytics settings in the footer. Rejection does not affect the tool. If browser storage is unavailable, the choice applies to the current page only.
Accepted analytics can send technical information such as browser/device details and IP address to the configured provider. Google Analytics uses first-party measurement cookies. Advertising consent remains denied. Withdrawing consent stops application events, disables measurement and clears known first-party analytics cookies; a page using session recording is refreshed to unload it. Google Privacy Policy.
Hosting and technical requests
Your browser requests the website files, including the bundled sample image and, when needed, local image decoder files, from the server hosting the website. A hosting provider may process standard request information, such as your IP address, browser information, and requested URL, to deliver and secure the website. PhotoColors does not add a separate visitor database.
Local decoder software
HEIC/HEIF and TIFF files may use open-source decoders downloaded from the same website. These decoders run locally; they do not receive images over a network. See the decoder notices and source information. No external image or font service is contacted to display this page.
